Privacy policy

Last updated: 13 October 2026.

This explains what personal information this website collects, why, who sees it and what your rights are. The website is run by Aimée Sophia Sound (“we”). You can reach us at create@aimeesophiasounds.com.

What we collect, and why

  • The contact form. Your name, email address, your message and anything else you choose to type (what it is for, a preferred date). We use it only to reply to you. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in answering your enquiry, or taking steps you ask for before an agreement.
  • Remembering your choices on this device. The site stores, in your browser, that you have entered the site, your cookie choice, and (for the visit only) whether you switched the ambient sound on. These are needed for the site to work as you left it and are not used to track you.

Who handles your information

We use a few service providers to run the site. They process data on our behalf:

  • Supabase stores the messages sent through the contact form, on servers in the European Union (Frankfurt, Germany).
  • Resend delivers the notification email about your message to us.
  • Sanity hosts the site’s content and delivers its images.

Some of these providers (for example the email delivery service, and Google and Meta if you accept their cookies) are based outside the UK and the European Economic Area, for example in the United States. Where that happens, the transfer relies on the safeguards those providers offer (such as standard contractual clauses or an adequacy decision).

Pages that show a music player or a video load it from Spotify or YouTube. Those companies may set their own cookies and see that you opened the player; their own privacy policies apply. YouTube videos load only when you press play. The site’s fonts are served from the site itself, not from Google.

How long we keep it

Messages from the contact form are kept for as long as needed to deal with your enquiry and any resulting work, and archived messages are deleted automatically after two years. Statistics are kept in aggregate form by the analytics provider according to its own retention settings.

Your rights

Under UK and EU data protection law you can ask us to show you the information we hold about you, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to how we use it, or give it to you in a portable form. Where we rely on your consent you can withdraw it at any time. Write to create@aimeesophiasounds.com and we will reply within one month. If you are unhappy with how we handled your information you can complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk) or to the data protection authority in your own country.

Changes

If we change what the site collects, we will update this page and the date above.
